Responsibilities

The monitor tech shall be responsible for assisting in the care of patients by continual observation of any patient on a cardiac monitor, under the direction of an RN or LPN.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and exhibit proficiency in patient care and oral communication skills.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current certification in BLS CPR. Must maintain any other requirements for each specific department. Must complete required departmental competencies and maintain through annual review.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience as a monitor tech.
