Responsibilities

  • Observe and communicate the patient's needs to the Registered Nurse responsible for the patient's care.
  • Intervenes to protect the patient and to minimize the risk of injury by reorienting the patient, talking to the patient or calling for assistance. 
  • Stays near the patient's bedside as directed by the Registered Nurse. 
  • Efficiently responds to requests and needs with patient focus.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support Certification 

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Prior work experience in a healthcare setting 
  • Enrolled in Nursing Assistant or Practical Nursing Program
