Responsibilities

  • Performs clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and or registered nurse.
  • Clerical duties may include scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and maintaining medical records.
  • Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as directed by a physician.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent); Current or Must be attained within three (3) months of hire
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Previous similar clinic experience
  • Previous job experience in delivering exceptional customer service
  • Competent use of personal computers and software programs including Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power-Point)
  • Previous experience with EMR systems
  • One year experience in a physician’s practice setting
