UT Health East Texas Long-Term Acute Care offers an environment of a close knit, small hospital team and the advantages of working for a large regional organization. Nurses with critical care skills are able to hone those skills while getting to know patients and families in a long term environment. Nurses with med/surge experience have the opportunity to gain critical care skills in a less intensive environment. Working with a dedicated wound care nurse, dietitian, rehabilitation therapists and respiratory care practitioners, nurses have a supportive interdisciplinary team with which to develop an individualized plan for each patient. UT Health LTAC caregivers are dedicated, skilled, and engaged. They work hard to move patients through critical, chronic, and debilitating illnesses and have the privilege to be an integral part of their recovery.
